The First Images of HTC Sense 4.0 Endeavor

The Endeavor is the new flagship phone from HTC and therefore will use the latest version of HTC Sense 4.0Its ROMS leaked, the first screenshots have just appeared.

The first ROM from HTC Endeavor (codename) has leaked this weekend to confirm the rumors about its technical characteristics. It will have a quad-core processor nVidia Tegra 3 to 1.5 GHz, marking the end of the exclusivity agreement with Qualcomm. The screen will measure 4.7 inches with a 720p HD resolution. There then 1 GB of RAM, an 8-megapixel camera, a 1.3 megapixel front camera, incorporating Beats Audio … and finally an NFC chip! Everything uses Android 4.0.3 (Ice Cream Sandwich) and the new Sense 4.0.

Also speak of this new layer of HTC, which has evolved logically following the arrival of a major new terminal. The main new discovery at this time lies in the possibility of using both in portrait, and landscape. See all the different catches taken, concerning the unlock screen and themes:

The homescreen looks  little different, due to the new dock at the bottom of the screen that houses shortcuts to applications, which is more functional that the current dock in HTC phones. I am using HTC sense 3.0 on my desire HD smartphone, HTC sense 4.0 seems to great to me.

HTC Sensation XL : Review

HTC Sensation XL is one of the best models from the HTC Company. Lots of features are available in this model. This smartphone comes with extra ordinary looks and sleek design. Two beautiful colors as black and white are well presented in the handset. HTC Sensation XL is also known from HTC Runnymede model.

The smartphone is having Document Viewer/Editor and Adobe Flash applications. Dust proof resistance is also available in the model. Java via Java MIDP emulator application is also added in the model which can provide to download lots of games and files. This smartphone is integrated with SMS, MMS, Email, push Email and IM as messaging services with Face book, Twitter, Google Search, Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Calendar, and Google Talk as social hubs.

Specifications :

The HTC Sensation XL is enabled with 768 MB RAM. The internal memory of the model is 12.64 GB and external memory of up to 32 GB via Micro SD memory for storage unlimited songs and videos. This handset is supported with 132.5 x 70.7 x 9.9 mm dimensions. The weight of the model is 162.5 gm.

Design :

HTC Sensation XL is integrated with 4.7 inches WVGA S- LCD capacitive touch screen display which can produce 16 Million colors. Display of the Smartphone is enabled with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. HTC UI 3.5 sense option is well included in the handset.

Touch phone is added with Touch sensitive controls and Multi Touch input display features. HTC Sensation XL is enabled with Gyro sensor, G-Sensor, Digital compass, Proximity sensor and Ambient light sensor. Touch phone is included with vibration, polyphonic and MP3 ringtones alerts features. 3.5 mm audio jack and loud speaker options are well supported in the model.

Camera :

The HTC Sensation XL is inbuilt with 8.0 MP main camera with Auto Focus and Dual LED Flash, Geo-tagging, 28mm wide-angle lens and f/2.2 focal length and BSI sensor (for better low-light captures).

Rear camera of the model comes with 3264 x 2448 pixels. 1.3 MP secondary camera is well endowed in the handset with a resolution of 1280 x 1024 pixels which can provide live video calling services.

Android version and other details:

This HTC Sensation XL is powered with Android v2.3 Gingerbread operating system and 1.5 GHz scorpion processor. Adreno 205 GPU and Qualcomm MSM 8255 chipset is well integrated in the smartphone. Lots of GPS options are well integrated in the model. The smartphone is providing Active noise cancellation with dedicated mic as special features.

The GPRS at 12 class, EDGE at 12 class and 3G (14.4 mbps HSDPA and 5.76 mbps HSUPA) as internet connectivity features are well enabled in the model. HTC Sensation XL comes with WAP 2.0, xHTML and HTML internet browser. The 1600 mAh standard battery of the model is providing talk time up to 710 min for 2G and up to 410 min for 3G.

Touch screen has DLNA, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n and Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP as data connectivity features is well included in the HTC Sensation XL.

HTC Desire HD, Incredible S, ChaCha, Wildfire S to Get Android 2.3.5 Update

Finally HTC started rolling out  Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update to its smartphones including the HTC Desire HD, Incredible S, ChaCha and Wildfire S.  HTC has also announced Sense 3.0 update for its smartphones, Desire HD and Incredible S.

HTC UK has confirmed the news that the Android 2.3.5  Gingerbread update for the above smartphones. HTC Turkey had posted a a news on their Facebook timeline and list of devices that would be getting the HTC Sense 3.0 UI and Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread update.

In addition to Gingerbread 2.3.5 will also get Sense UI 3.0. Improvement obtained from the update is to give a better camera functionality. Reportedly this updates will give slightly longer uptime, faster performance, improved task manager, no-root screen capture  and sleeker user interface.


HTC ChaCha has also been reported to get Android 2.3.5 update via OTA, which is known to have run in New Zealand. However HTC Sense on Chacha is still version 2.1.

So guys, If you are the owner of one of the above HTC smartphones then the Android Gingerbread 2.3.5 update is ready to head your way.

HTC Sense 3.5 Comes Informally On The Desire HD [Video]

Very good news for hackers and possessors of Desire HD can, through a customized system (better known under the name ‘Roma custom’), benefit from the interface of  HTC Sense 3.5 

Capychimp, a member of the xda developers forum in the past had already borne the interface of HTC Sense in version 3.0. Now, that same hacker has managed to integrate the latest version of HTC Sense 3.5.

In short, this system that is based on the Android version 2.3.4 (Gingerbread) / ROM: Bliss / Build: 1.10.401.0 WWE RUU. Based on initial feedback, the composition has a few compatibility issues, particularly in terms of Bluetooth connectivity. Apart from this, the first users seem generally satisfied for an interface which is theoretically still in beta.
