BlackBerry (previously known as RIM) has launched a couple of devices and their new mobile OS, BB10. The two new devices, Z10 and Q10, will run on BB10. The race was quite tough for BlackBerry in the past, as their rivals advanced in giant paces while BlackBerry was just a silent spectator without anything big to offer the world.

Their products seriously lacked many of the features and their app store also was too weak to be considered competitive. However, BlackBerry is up and running again with new energy created by the huge welcome they have received for their two new devices.

The two new beautiful gadgets in fact surprised the tech geeks. We didn’t expect that BlackBerry had such potential. However, it isn’t sweet news to its rivals like Google and Apple because, the rival who they thought was running far behind them is advancing in the smartphone race. Let’s take a look at the features of the Z10 to see what BlackBerry has created.

BlackBerry Z10 Features & Specs

The BlackBerry Z10 is a stylish phone with high quality components and build. It measures 5.1×2.6x.35 inches and falls into the medium-size category of smartphones. It’s a normal, black, slab-styled phone without much innovation in the design. However, it doesn’t fail to appeal because of the stylish design. Unlike its sibling, it doesn’t have a traditional keyboard.

The back cover is made of high quality plastic and the top and the bottom of the phone have a rubbery finish. It weighs 4.8 ounces and can be easily used with one hand. Its display is even better than Apple’s iPhone 5 and Samsung’s Galaxy S III, at 356ppi. The power button is placed on the top, the volume rockers and the mute button (a physical button for mute!?) are found on one side, and the USB ports are found on the other side of the phone.

It is powered by an 1800mAh battery. It has an 8MP camera in the rear and a microSD card slot which can support cards up to 64GB. BlackBerry calls its on-screen keyboard as the best in the industry, however, it isn’t much different from the others except the fact that it learns new terms typed by the user quickly and pops up suggestions while typing.

If you type fast, you might find it a bit annoying, especially when you want to type out the message quickly. One thing that I have to admit is the size of the keyboard. While Android and iOS keyboards take up much of the screen space, the Z10’s keyboard is only smaller, but still comfortable to use.

The interface has got some really cool features that will help you multitask easily. The device is built for multi-taskers and the messaging system is too useful to avoid. The performance is simply great and you will want to try it out for your business because it enables easy multi-tasking.

The phone will be offered by all the four major carriers in the U.S. However, the app store isn’t strong yet. Though BlackBerry has added a lot of apps under all categories, there are some popular brands missing in the app store.

Check out the app store and if you can see all the apps that you want to use, you may buy the phone without second thought. You might also want to wait for BlackBerry to add more apps and Z10 will be worth the wait.
