  • This firmware update tutorial is only for Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300. Don’t even think to try this on any other android phone.
  • I9300XXELLC is an official firmware by Samsung for the Galaxy S3 I9300 released in Poland.

Being Android brings you a step-by-step instructions on how to update Samsung Galaxy S3 to Android 4.1.2 XXELLC firmware. Make sure you read each step carefully.

Complete Step-By-Step Instructions to Update Galaxy S3

1. Download I9300XXELLC Android 4.1.2  firmware updates for Galaxy S3 to your computer and extract the zip file.

2. Download Odin v3.04 which will help you to install Android 4.1.2 on Samsung Galaxy S3 I9300.

3. Turn off your Galaxy S3 and now boot your phone into Download mode. How?

Press and hold the Volume Down + Home buttons together, and then press the Power button till you see the Yellow warning triangle screen. Press Volume up key to confirm to enter into Download Mode.

Note : If your device starts in the normal mode then you have to again try for the same procedure above for entering your phone to Download mode.

4. Launch ODIN. Connect your Galaxy S3 to your computer via USB cable while your phone is in the Download Mode.

5. If your phone is connected successfully, one of the ID:COM boxes will turn Blue with the COM port number and message box below say’s ‘Added!’ This step might take some time. See the screenshot above.

6.  After the above steps, In ODIN window, click on “PDA” for selecting the “tar file” or ‘.tar.md5‘ file you’ve extracted at step 1.

OR

Select the files that you want to flash/install on your phone. These files are to be found from the extracted files in Step 1.

  • Click on ‘PDA’ and select file with ‘CODE’ in its name.
  • Click on ‘Phone’ and select file with ‘MODEM’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
  • Click on ‘CSC’ and select file with CSC’ in its name. Ignore this step if there is no such file.
  • Click on ‘PIT’ and select the .pit file. Ignore this step if there is no such file.

7. In ODIN window, check the Auto Reboot and F. Reset Time options.

8. Now in ODIN window click on the ‘Start’ button. Installation process will start and would take a few minutes to complete.

9. After the installation is completed, your phone will restart. After you see the home screen, unplug your phone from the computer.

10. That’s it. Your Samsung Galaxy S III has now been updated to Android 4.1.2 XXELLC firmware update. Go to Settings > About phone to verify.
