Finally! Samsung Galaxy S2 ICS updates on your way! Samsung has just released the final version of the upgrade to Android 4.0 aka Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) for the Samsung galaxy S2. The version is  I9100XXLPJ , it is a version for Europe (Open Europe).

This official Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich update for the Samsung Galaxy S2 is now available for download in selected countries. The early returns are good: the ROM seems fast, task killer is back, 3G and WiFi seems to work and Samsung’s TouchWiz interface is present.

As per Samsung Report :

The upgrade will begin in European countries including Poland, Hungary, Sweden, as well as Korea today and gradually roll out to other markets. Android 4.0 ICS software upgrade for Galaxy Note, Galaxy SII LTE, Galaxy Tab 8.9 and 10.1 will follow soon.


Also they reported that updates for the Galaxy s2 will be available in the UK from March 19th, 2012. However the availability of software upgrades in the UK will be dependent upon each network’s own software approvals process.

How to Install Android 4.0 updates on Samsung Galaxy S2 :

If you are a Samsung Galaxy S2 user then you need to download the latest KIES software from this link. So make sure you have the latest version of KIES and connect your phone via KIES and you will get an update to your Samsung Galaxy S2.
