by VISHAL GAIKAR - on Dec 16th 2011 - 1 Comment

Facebook¬† finally deploys (after many delays) its new Timeline on Android. Deployed on the web, mobile web (m.facebook.com) and the Facebook application for Android, the timeline is not yet available on iOS probably because of the Apple’s deadlines for submission.

Timeline gives you an easy way to see the things you’ve shared, and collect all your best moments in a single place. In addition to making timeline available on the web , Yesterday Facebook also launched timeline on Android and m.facebook.com.

Mobile timeline starts with your unique cover photo. As you scroll down, you’ll see your posts, photos and life events as they happened, back to the day you were born. Photo albums and other posts are horizontally swipeable, so you can quickly view multiple photos or posts inline without leaving timeline. You can also swipe through the views at the top of your timeline to navigate to your map, photos, subscribers and more.

This new update brings the Facebook timeline on Facebook android app. The Timeline is the new presentation of profiles in the form of a chronology of your life, the interface is completely redesigned. For those that were not spent on the new version of Facebook, first add your cover photo.

With the rise of e-books, perhaps we ever thought we recommend an e-book some or all of our followers on Twitter. Ways to be many, but directly, we have Twtebook.
Its operation is similar to Twitpic, where we have to allow the application to access your Twitter account then go to the e-book document sharing, choosing one of the available categories. In this way, we already have e-books easier to share, thanks to the categories, we can discover new titles that perhaps we might find interesting.

In any case, Twtebook allow us access to the contents of e-books, provided we have Adobe Reader or your browser has support for PDF files.

WhatsApp for IOS becomes free

by VISHAL GAIKAR - on Oct 15th 2011 - No Comments
The arrival of iOS 5 that among all the news, came with an instant messaging application, IMessage. This application, in the end, I remembered a little inbreeding of BlackBerry Messenger, that is, only the users could enjoy this platform and, if you have friends in the world of IOS, WhatsApp could stop having sense. Thinking is not displaced, WhatsApp has decided to eliminate the only insignificant, a barrier that had in the world iOS: iOS WhatsApp becomes free.

Although WhatsApp is a very popular service, and allows communication between users of multiple platforms, IMessage was a risk for WhatsApp service since it took the same philosophy of BlackBerry Messenger: a totally integrated into the platform to which is added the special to allow communication devices without phone connection (like the iPod and iPhone without 3G modem). While 79 cents is not a very large capital, to have a free system, fully integrated in IOS was a threat that is better not to risk when you can offer, as well as other platforms, your application for free.

The New "Story Of Your Life" Coming With Facebook

by VISHAL GAIKAR - on Sep 23rd 2011 - No Comments
Facebook f8 at the conference, the keynote of the social network, introduced new features including the “Timeline”. Exit the profile so famous, you have to place a thread with “the story of your life” back in time to your birth.

This “profile” uses the new OpenGraph to integrate the interactions, the same tool used in Facebook applications. So you can leave marks on your thread of life when listening to music on iPod, when watching a movie or read an article about Hackerz Park. Your whole life is now archived and displayed in the timeline.

When touching personal data, Facebook’s say you had to go through. We will hear about invasion of privacy anywhere, however it must be said: This feature is powerful and intelligent.

So you think you? How will they implement this in the Android application?
