“According to those we spoke with who have knowledge of the in-development hardware, Amazon will be leveraging the titles already available on its platform,”

The hardware is still under development, and the console will have its own dedicated game controller.

When asked about the possibility of an Amazon game console, an Amazon spokesperson said Friday morning that “We don’t comment on rumors and speculation” in an e-mailed statement.
If amazon will enter into the Gaming console market then they will compete with Microsoft’s upcoming Xbox One and Sony’s upcoming PlayStation 4. Also the new Amazon Android console will compete with Ouya: the Android video game console that launched earlier this year. The Ouya is a Xbox-like controller that you hook up to your TV in order to play Android games. It runs on a Tegra 3 processor, 1GB of RAM, and 8GB of flash storage.
