WhatsApp is one of the most used online messaging app available on android. Now a days most of the people use WhatsApp messenger for communication. WhatsApp messaging is cheap when compared to normal text messaging and it also supports multimedia files.
Sometimes you want to create backup of the conservations/chat sessions you have with your friends. Though the app automatically creates backup of chat seasons at 4 AM everyday but if you want to manually create backup of WhatsApp chat messages/seasons, then worry not as it is very easy to do it manually.
We have already posted about how to backup and restore text messages on an Android phone. Today I am here with the new tutorial which will guide you to Backup WhatsApp Messages on Android.

Backup your WhatsApp Messages
- Open WhatsApp messenger
- Press the Menu key, and go to ‘Settings’.
- Now click on “Chat Settings”
- Now tap once on “Backup Conversations” and backup will start.
The WhatsApp will overwrite any old backups you created and make a new one. You cannot make multiple backups and none of the images will be included in the backup. They will be there in your SD card and will be linked after the messages are restored.
Restore WhatsApp Messages
- Install WhatsApp on your new phone.
- Click Yes when prompted to restore your message history.

That’s it! Now your new phone has your old phone’s WhatsApp Messages and all chat history.
